Mary Alline Barker Willis, 95, of Newbern, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Glendale Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Church of Christ in Newbern with Bro. Todd Walker, Bro. Ronnie Scherffius, Marty Byars and Bryan Walker officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Elbridge. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-9 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include six daughters, Ruth Walker, Geraldine Proud and Cheryl Walker, all of Newbern, Bobbie Cantoni of Lake Station, Ind., Reba Macedo of Coral Springs, Fla, and Wanda Jacobs of Louisville, Ky.; four sons, Tee Willis of Newbern, Carl Willis of LaVergne, Ronnie Willis of Jackson and Roger Willis of Dyersburg; two sisters, Bennie Underwood and Georgia Willis, both of Newbern; a brother, Roy Barker of Dyersburg; 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Marion Willis; a daughter, Mary Lois Rogers; two sons, Lois Edward Willis and Daniel Curtis Willis; her parents, Ben and Cora Arendall Barker; four sisters, Lorene Evans, Bonnie Carter, Evelyn Willis and Corene Barker; and a brother, Joe Barker.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Proud, Terry Davis, Marty Byars, Bryan Walker, Wade Willis, Alan Willis, Danny Willis and Jeremy Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dan Willis, Shawnee Willis and Tracy Walker.
