Lona Jane Buress, 96, of Dresden, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 at Crockett County Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker and a member of Como Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Hilliard of Alamo and Mary Sue Staggs of Bogota; four sons, Joe Wilbanks of Como, Buddy Wilbanks of Crockett Mills, Danny Buress of Dyersburg and Dicky Buress of Tiptonville; a sister, Fronica Allison of Milledgeville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Novell Wilbanks and K.W. Buress.

Mary Elizabeth Wilson, 89, of Newbern, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 at her residence.

She was an inspector for Trimble Manufacturing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with William Parnell and the Rev. Wendall Cary officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Cole and Betty Beard, both of Dyersburg and Wanda Thrasher of Newbern; two sons, Marvin Wilson of Newbern and Eddie Ray Wilson of Trimble; two sisters, Sue Williams of Newbern and Rebecca Butler of Buena Vista; four brothers, Wesley Walton of Obion, Wilber Walton of Newbern, Reed Walton of Trimble and Joe Walton of Pawley's Island, S.C.; two grandchildren, Ross Maldonado of Dyersburg and Sammy Cole of Newbern; and five great-grandchildren, Ashton Maldonado, Taylor Maldonado, Kaylee Maldonado, Josh Cole and Amber Smith, all of Dyersburg; and a great-great-grandson, Aden Cole of Dyersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "Dag" Wilson; a son, Bobby Wilson; her parents, Ernest B. and Maude Frazier Walton; a sister, Martha Louise Walton; and a brother, Ernest M. "Preacher" Walton.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cole, Sammy Cole, James Laster, Ross Maldonado, Johnny Parks, Mike Parks, Wade Perry and Rusty Thrasher.
