S. Hazel Ostrom, 92, of Lexington, formerly of Gothenburg, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Gothenburg, Neb. with Pastor Larry Viter and Pastor Grant J. Ostrom officiating. Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 1-3 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include three children: John Ostrom of Lexington, Neb; Grant Ostrom and wife, Anita, of Tennessee; Cherry Kuhlman and husband, Vern, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren: Anne Eilers, Lars Ostrom, Leif Ostrom, David Ostrom, Kurt Ostrom, Timothy Ostrom, Trae Strube, Michael Kuhlman, Keith Kuhlman; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ostrom; two daughters-in-law Annette Ostrom and Connie Ostrom; a grandson Kurt Ostrom; four sisters, Lucy Davis, Irene Egleston, Esther Davis and Gladys Fredrickson; and two brothers, Fielding and Charles Pettijohn.

Mac Donald Smith, 68, of Friendship, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired highway patrolman for the state of Tennessee.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Warner and the Rev. Jimmy Bedwell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Smith of Cordova; a son, Don Smith and wife, Melissa, of Cordova; a sister, Alice Williams of Friendship; and three brothers, Jimmy Smith of Friendship, Paul Smith of Houston, Texas and Philip Smith of Rosemark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Burly Smith and Iva Ward Smith; two sisters, Peggy Knacksted and Ann Smith; and a brother, Joe Frank Smith.
Pallbearers will be James Ellis Smith, Tommy Smith, Brad Webster, Bart Webster, Glynn Smith, Terry Hutchison, Billy Starrett and Lenard Cannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Miller Thompson, Gerald Rodgers, Jimmy Summerlin, Grant Smith, Matthew Smith, Bill Williams, Alton Smith and John Martin.

Dalton Duke Sollis, 72, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Ford Construction.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Sollis officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include his companion of 18 years, Brenda McCallum; a sister, Wilma Sue Goode of Friendship; three brothers, Alton Sollis and Ray Sollis, both of Friendship and Jerry Sollis of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Edie McCallum, Jeremy McCallum and Brianna McCallum, all of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis and Charlotte Hudson Sollis; and a brother, George Edward Sollis.
Pallbearers will be Troy McCallum, Steve Henry, Harold Mallard, Elbert Seratt, Lynn Rook and Will Rook.
