George Arthur Atchison, 73, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
He was a retired supervisor for Colonial Rubber Works, attended Phillips Street Church of Christ and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin Forthun officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Atchison; a daughter, Cindy Cowles and husband, Mike, of Newbern; a stepdaughter, Sharon Ashley and husband, Randy, of Dyersburg; a son, Mike Atchison and wife, Becky, of Dyersburg; two stepsons, Jimmy Allen Kimbrell and wife, Tammy, and Mitchell Kimbrell and wife, Brenda, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Jane Zaricor and Nelda Davis, both of Dyersburg; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Edith Atchison; two sisters, Alma Walker and Pauline Colombo; and two brothers, Bob Atchison and Joe Atchison.
Pallbearers will be Bill Wiggins, Charles Goodwin, Randy Ashley, Bobby Diggs, Ricky Burkhead and Bobby Atchison.
Edith McCutcheon Knight, 89, of Covington, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at Covington Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker.
Services were at held Saturday at Covington Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Knight; three daughters, Mable Wilson of Dyersburg, Sue Henson of Nashville and Carolyn Hunt of Pennsylvania; and two sons, Jerry McCutcheon of Arizona and Gene McCutcheon of Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Herman Ray.
