Louis Edward "Bud" Cryer, 78, of Olney, Texas, formerly of Trimble, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney.
He was a truck driver.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Ernest Earl Johnson III officiating. Burial will be in Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors from 2-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Mitchell and husband, Ricky, of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Cryer of Walls, Miss.; a son, John Ford and wife, Jackie, of Union City; a sister, Christine Motley of Newbern; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Faye Cryer; two daughters, Kelly Cryer and Karen Johnson; a son, Roger Dale Cryer; his parents, Andy and Cora Cracket Cryer; and a great-granddaughter, Paris LaShawn Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Lawson, Ryan Lawson, Michael Cryer, Shawn Jackson, Calvin Ford and Nichole White. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Johnson and Larry Seale.
Sarah Ann Kelsey, 67, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Obion.
The family will receive visitors from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, George Kelsey of Dyersburg; a daughter, Patricia Kelsey Bennett of Dyersburg; a son, David Wayne Kelsey of Dyersburg; two brothers, Jerry Gale Morton of Salina, Kan., and Thomas Morton of Union City; two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy Noble and Mary Ray Hedge Morton; four sisters, Alice Tolley, Mary Hampton, Hattie Tolley and Martha Faye Carnatize; and two brothers, Corky Morton and Leonard Morton.
Pallbearers will be Jim Bennett Sr., Jim Bennett Jr., Tommy Wyrick, Kevin Irvin, Bobby Morton and Jerry Dale Peters.
Carney Lamar Rogers, 77, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 at his residence.
He was co-founder of R&S Carpet and a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerrell Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Sharp and husband, Franklin, of Ridgely, and Brenda Elliott and husband, Clark, of Brentwood; a son, Kenny Rogers and wife, Barbara, of Dyersburg; a brother, Norris Rogers of Memphis; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan Rogers and wife, Holly, of Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., Cynthia Luttrell of Birmingham, Ala., Jeremy Rogers of Dyersburg, Misty Spicer, Stephanie Sharp, Megan Sharp and Franklin Sharp, all of Ridgely, and Erikka Elliott, Allison Elliott, Grace Ann Elliott and Brooke Elliott, all of Brentwood; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Rogers; James Elton Rogers, William Rogers and Frank Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Stoy Slaughter, Brown Nale, Tom Palmer, John Palmer, Robert Turnbo and Danny Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Peggy Daniel and Patsy Brewer.
