Thelma Jones, 86, of Ridgely, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John No. 2 Baptist Baptist Church in Tiptonville with the Rev. Mays officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Tiptonville. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at noon Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include five daughters, Sallie DePriest, Ruby Jones, both of Ridgely, Ethel Clark of Milwaukee, Wis., Fannie Caruthers of Tiptonville and Thelma Louise Ingram of South Fulton; four sons, Charlie Huggins of Lavergen, Alvin Jones of Martin, Aaron Jones of Detroit, Mich. and Robert Jones of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sisters, Lucy Walker of Brownsville, Pearlie Weddles of Stockton, Calif., Katherine Wilder of Decatur, Ill. and Josie Yates of Detroit, Mich.; 37 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Banks, Ben Jenkins, Jarden Avery, Jessie Swift, Renell Swift and Brandon Springer.
Ann Brown Maclin, 90, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Center.
She was a retired teacher, a member of Home Demonstration Club, Tennessee Education Association and an active member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Crawford and Bro. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens.
The family received visitors at 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Laura Ruth Weldon and husband, Bill, and Helen Maclin, all of Dyersburg and Louise Williams and husband, Jim, of Troy; three sons, Mac Maclin and wife, Beverly, and Donnie Maclin, all of Louisville, Ky. and David Maclin and wife, Joan, of Marion, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, N.C. Maclin; her parents, Charles and Annie Laura Brown; four sisters, Mary Beecroft, Stella Trimble, Rose Barnette and Lauria Frank; three brothers, Nolan Brown, Quitman Brown and Dewey Brown; and a granddaughter, Natalie Joan Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Barnett, Glen Barnett, Charles Arnold, Phil Lipford, Rich Evans and Preston Turner.
Willard "Jim" Porter, 62, of Sardis, Miss., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven, Miss.
He was a meat processor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Halls.
The family will receive visitors at 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, LaDonna Fisher and husband, Eddie, of Halls; a stepdaughter, Pattie Ramey and husband, Eddie, of Dyersburg; three stepsons, Steve Conder of Dyersburg, Joe Conder and wife, Rosemary, of Gates and Tim Conder and wife, Ruby, of Ripley; two sisters, Shirley Senson of Coldwater, Miss. and Lucy Graham of Hickman, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Katherine Porter.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Baggett, Tim Conder, Sammy Conder, Stevie Conder, Tim Henson and David Rodenhouser.
