A Dyersburg Police Department officer walks to the front of the Wal-Mart SuperCenter grocery side entrance on Tuesday after searching the store for anything suspicious after a bomb threat was called in. Store associates huddled in the rain to prevent customers from entering during the incident. According to the police report, a store employee answered the telephone at about 6:05 p.m. and heard what was termed in the police report the voice of an older woman 'maybe in her 50s.' The caller said 'there is a bomb in the building ... one in the bathroom and one in produce .. it is going to go off in one hour.' The Dyersburg Fire Department and Dyersburg Regional Medical Center staged emergency vehicles and equipment in the parking lot during the event. Police waited an hour and 15 minutes before allowing the store to re-open. The report said no suspicious items were found.

TO ZZTOP: I did read the story yesterday morning. Looks like they shortened the article. A woman stated she saw a woman that appeared to be holding an infant child waiting in the rain for the store to be cleared and she also stated she felt sorry for them. If you had read the article earlier you would have seen that.

There is nothing that I need at Wal-Mart bad enough to stand outside in the rain. If they stood out in the rain then I certainly do not feel sorry for them. I would assume they drove there in cars....... you would think they would get out of the rain!
