Reputed drug dealer bound over to jury

Sunday, March 30, 2008
A reputed drug dealer with a lengthy criminal history in Dyersburg faces a possible indictment in Lauderdale County.

Quincy "Weezy" Johnson, 27, 227 Dandridge St., was arrested Jan. 10 and charged with possessing more than half an ounce of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute. That charge was bound over to the action of a grand jury during Lauderdale County General Sessions Court proceedings on Friday, March 14.

He was arrested after 25th Judicial District officers found a loaded 9mm handgun, almost a pound of marijuana and almost $1,000 in cash.

Jail and police records show Johnson has been arrested six times on charges ranging from drug possession to assault from 1998 to 2003, when he apparently left Dyersburg.

Johnson was arrested in 2003 after undercover work on street-level drug dealers on the city's east side found him dealing cocaine out of his house.

I hope they put Mr."Weezy" up under the jail and throw away the key. That is where he deserves to be, now let's see if they do it. The law is supposed to protect law abiding citizens from predatory criminals like drug dealer's etc.. I promise you if he get's out and deals any drugs or anyone else deals any drugs to anyone I love, I WILL excersize my divine God given right and animal instinct to protect my loved ones!
