Harold A. Steward, 85, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, April 5, 2008.
He was retired from the Federal Aviation Association, a member of Moose Lodge and New Madrid Methodist Church and was a World War II veteran.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, Mo. with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 5-7 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg and at 11-1 Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Lea Mitchell of Spring, Texas; a son, Harold A. Steward Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Norma Nadine Townsend of New Madrid, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Wilbanks, Kelly Howe and Abigail Reed; and four great-grandchildren, Erin Wilbanks, Kayce Wilbanks, Madelyn Howe and Lana Howe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Steward; a daughter, Weymuth Kay Irvin; his parents, William Stanton and Pearl Elsie Scott Steward; two sisters, Virginia Belle Lamarr and Leola Frances Braswell; and two brothers, William Scott Steward and Edward Jesse Steward.
Pallbearers will be Erin Wilbanks, Steve Mitchell, Kane Howe, Joe Steward, Jim Steward and Buddy Townsend.
