Among those indicted on sexual charges were:
* Richard Atkins, 56, 183 Courtland Square. He was indicted for the attempted rape of a 17-year-old girl on July 12. He also was indicted for second offense driving with a revoked license and resisting arrest.
* Eddie Earl Copeland Jr., 17, 2232 Miss Kelly Loop. He was indicted for two counts of sexual battery and one charge of rape. He is accused of touching a woman's intimate parts or the clothing covering those intimate parts on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9 and then sexually penetrating her on Jan. 10.
* Daniel Leon McCaig, 22, 985 Moore Road in Halls. He was indicted on a violation of the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry. Dyersburg Police stopped McCaig on Nov. 15 and found a 2-year-old child in his car. McCaig reportedly told police that the child lived with him. As a registered sexual offender, McCaig is not allowed to be with children or to live with them. McCaig was convicted in 2005 of attempted aggravated sexual battery on a minor.
McCaig also was indicted for two counts of driving with a revoked license and one count of theft under $500. He was accused of shoplifting two infant sleeper sets, a package of boy's briefs and a toy from Wal-Mart.
* Timothy A. Pettie, 17, whose address is listed as a post office box in Bogota. He was indicted for aggravated sexual battery and rape of a child. He is accused of touching the intimate parts and then sexually penetrating a girl between the ages of 3 and 13 sometime during the month of January.
* Jonathan Rico Thomas, 20, 330 Lyte Circle. He was indicted for mitigated statutory rape. He was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in 2007, but law enforcement officers could not find him at the time. On March 2, officers learned that Thomas was still in Dyer County and still having a sexual relationship with the girl, who is now pregnant, according to the arrest warrant.
Those men are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dyer County Circuit Court, along with persons named in the rest of the indictments. Thirty-nine of the indictments are secret and will remain sealed until the persons are arrested. In the meantime, the list of new indictees includes:
Gerald Akins, 25, 820 Finley St., Apartment B, who was indicted for felonious possession of a weapon. He is accused of shooting two rounds into the air in front of his room Feb. 3 at the Colonial Inn on the Highway 51 Bypass with a 38-special Rossi revolver. Akins told police that he was a convicted felon and was not supposed to possess a weapon. The serial number on the gun had been filed off, the warrant said.
Keith A. Barham, 44, 1508 Harris St., who was indicted for violating the motor vehicle habitual offender act.
Joseph Dewayne Caldwell, 22, 1821 Whitney Young, who was indicted for fifth offense driving with a revoked license.
Carl Stephen Clark, 408 Pate, and Elvis Williams Jr., 19, 1640 Countryman, who were indicted for attempted aggravated robbery. They are accused of using a handgun to rob Billy Shane Hall, who was sitting on his front porch at 1802 Countryman on March 12.
Dean Darlene Clark, 31, 1577 Bruceville Slab Road, who was indicted on two counts of forgery. She is accused of forging checks on her mother's bank account in June.
Marla Cryer, 204 East Main in Obion, who was indicted for obtaining possession of a controlled substance by fraud and attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. She is accused of posing as an employee of a doctor's office to obtain 30 Adipex pills in her name on Dec. 31.
Markus Adam Deason, 21, 1006 Shelly Drive, who was indicted for aggravated burglary and theft of property less than $500. He reportedly was seen climbing through the window of a shed at 1506 Wheeler St. and taking an X-Box game and five games from the shed on March 19.
Kathy A. Hailey, address unavailable, who was indicted for third offense driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.
Anthony Jackson, 33, 605 Eagle Cove, who was indicted for fourth offense simple possession of marijuana and attempt to tamper with evidence. According to the arrest warrant, Dyersburg Police stopped Jackson on a traffic violation on July 21. A bag of marijuana was in plain sight on the car seat. When an officer retrieved the bag, Jackson reportedly tried to grab it and became combative.
Christopher Dewayne James, 18, 611 Price St.; Steven Bailey, 18, 611 Price St.; and Martell Menyard, 212 Jordan, who were all indicted for aggravated burglary and theft of property in excess of $1,000. They are accused of breaking into Janie Heathcott's apartment and taking a Dell television and other items on Nov. 20.
Ryan Andrew Jones, 21, 1574 Fair St., who was indicted for theft of property in excess of $1,000 and second offense driving on a revoked license. He is accused of taking a vehicle from B&M Auto on a four-hour test drive without permission on Feb. 29. The car was recovered only after police apprehended Jones, the arrest warrant said.
Creed D. King, 327 Sellars, and Jeffrey M. Pearce, 1200 Jones St., who were indicted for aggravated assault.
Jack D. Lewis, 51, 1838 Browning, who was indicted for violating the motor vehicle habitual offender act.
Deangelo Liggons, 735 Tucker St., Apartment 203, who was indicted for possession of more than half a gram of cocaine with intent to sell or distribute. A bag containing 2 ounces of cocaine was reportedly found in his pants pocket on Dec. 28 while he was being arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Eddie Guy Luster Jr., 24, 404 N. Maple in Hayti, Mo., who was indicted for possession of more than half a gram of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. He was arrested Nov. 11 while reportedly trying to sell drugs at the 51 Club. He had, in his possession, 11 pills believed to be ecstasy, four small bags of marijuana and a plastic bag of white powder believed to be cocaine.
Michael Shane McCullough, 18, 2160 Upper Finley Road, who was indicted for aggravated burglary, theft in excess of $1,000 and six counts of burglary of an automobile. He is accused of burglarizing a home at 971 Sandra Street and burglarizing six vehicles parked on Hunter Lane, Joshua Loop, Wesley Drive and Caleb on March 7.
Michael Lynn Mims, 28, 408 Butterworth, who was indicted on six counts of theft of property less than $500, fraudulent use of a debit card in excess of $500, two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and one count of evading arrest. His is accused of stealing six televisions from Wal-Mart between Feb. 10 and March 16. He also is accused of breaking into two vehicles and attempting to steal a third vehicle parked March 29 at Bev's Place, a business on South Main Avenue. Mims also is accused of charging $633.11 on a debit card belonging to Terry Brock on March 15-16. Mims reportedly fled from a law enforcement officer at Bev's Place after being caught trying to hotwire a vehicle.
Mims also was indicted along with Robert Clint Linebaugh, address unavailable, and Eddie Earl Copeland Jr. for forgery in excess of $1,000 and two counts of forgery. They are accused of using a stolen check to buy an alternator at Advance Auto Parts on Feb. 6.
Jeremy Scott Moore, 25, 2441 St. John Ave., and Stephanie Marie Pratt, 21, 824 Southview Cove, who were both indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card in excess of $10,000 and fraudulent use of a credit card in excess of $500. Arrest warrants indicate that Moore and Pratt were attempting to use Shirley Hendren's new credit card at a local pawn shop on Dec. 20. Hendren had ordered the card but never received it. Concerned, she called the credit card company and learned that the card had been mailed on Dec. 10. The card company then contacted her on Dec. 20 and told her that someone had already rung up $1,500 worth of charges and was attempting to use the card at the pawn shop.
Angela Pevahouse, 26, Economy Room 263, and Brandon Pevahouse, 27, 2889 Love Joy Road, who were indicted for aggravated burglary, theft of property less than $500 and two counts of forgery. They are accused of breaking into Joe Dowling's Phillips Street home on Jan. 12 and removing the contents of a medicine safe. They also are accused of forging two checks on Dowling's bank account in the amount of $716.61 at Factory Connection and $587.53 at Wal-Mart.
Brandon Pevahouse also was indicted on two counts of felony failure to appear.
Coy Lee Pierce, 34, 635 Meacham Road, who was indicted for violation of the motor vehicle habitual offender act and simple possession of marijuana.
William Pierce, 20, 354 Bean Mill Road, who was indicted for two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and one count of theft of property in excess of $500. Arrest warrants state Pierce was caught March 13 burglarizing a vehicle on St. John Avenue. He also is accused of breaking into another vehicle March 9 on Reynolds Avenue and taking a CD player, a bottle of cologne and about 40 compact disks. The vehicle owner tracked Pierce, compelled him to confess and retrieved the CD player, the cologne and all but 14 CDs.
Perry Lynn Powell Jr., 23, 309 Grayson St. in Newbern, who was indicted for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Brian Prater, 23, 2142 A St., and Brandi Shoulders Patterson, 23, address unavailable, who were indicted for aggravated burglary and theft of property less than $500. They are accused of breaking into the home of Billy and Angela Lattimer, 921 Phillips St., and stealing a Knight brand muzzleloader on Jan. 15.
Brandon Amar "Big Oso" Reed, 24, 1300 E. Court St., who was indicted for possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute. He was arrested after Dyersburg Police searched his home Nov. 19 and reportedly found 35 grams of marijuana.
Vernon Wade Rogers, 48, 334 Harness Road, who was indicted for sixth offense driving while intoxicated and second offense driving with a revoked license.
Scotty Lynn Sanderson, 36, 4930 Lanes Ferry Road, who was indicted for domestic assault and violation of a restraining order.
Crystal Jean Smith, 47, 140 Fairfield Drive, who was indicted for driving while intoxicated and violation of the implied consent law.
Luke Stephens Jr., 19, 1424 Browning St., who was indicted for burglary, theft of property less than $500 and evading arrest. He is accused of breaking into JR Mart on Harrell Avenue and taking an undesignated amount of money on Dec. 23. He fled Jan. 15 when a police officer attempted to arrest him on the burglary charge, the arrest warrant said.
Stephens and Andrew Blake Taylor, address unavailable, who were indicted for burglary and theft in excess of $1,000. They were accused of breaking into Start to Finish, 1505 E. Court St., and taking several electronic items on Oct. 4.
Tacarra Taylor, address unavailable, who was indicted for theft of property less than $500.
Kevin Tipps, 24, 1231 Speedway, who was indicted for attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. He is accused of changing the dosage amount on a prescription for Percocet on Dec. 20.
Courtney D. Turner, 19, 745 Tucker St., Apartment 403, and Dantis Kyle Williams, 22, of Southern Avenue, who were indicted for aggravated burglary. They are accused of kicking in the back door of 700 Phillips St. on Dec. 23.
Ricky Shane Wade, 20, 1835 Browning St., who was indicted for two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver. He is accused of robbing KC's One Stop, 1012 U.S. Highway 51 Bypass on March 8 and Lake Road Food Shop, 2555 Lake Road, on March 10. Police reportedly found diazepam pills in his possession when he was arrested.
Timothy Charles Watson, 33, 1821 Whitney Young, who was indicted for driving with a revoked license, simple possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence. A police officer who knew Watson's license had been revoked saw him driving on Feb. 20. The police officer stopped Watson's car. Watson reportedly tried to swallow a baggy of marijuana. While he did swallow some of the marijuana, police recovered about 7 grams, the arrest warrants said. Police reportedly had to use a chemical agent to subdue and arrest Watson.
James Weatherholt, address unavailable, and Jessie Southerland, address unavailable, were indicted for promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.
Claude West Jr., 540 Hike Ave. and 1709 Schaffer Apartment 9, was indicted for third offense of simple possession of marijuana.
Edward D. White, address unavailable, was indicted for second offense driving while intoxicated, violation of the implied consent law and driving with a revoked license.
