Michael Berardi, Michael Brown, Matt Chandler, Tyler Childress, Cole Dickerson, Scotty Rogers, Adam Smith, Les Smith, and J.B. White were all presented plagues by Trojan head coach Tom Mathis in recognition of their efforts during their high school careers.
After the pregame festivities, the two squads took the field with the Trojans earning a 9-3 win over the visitors behind a solid pitching performance from Rogers and home runs from Brown and teammate Jesse McNeil.
With the contest knotted at 2-2 with two outs in the fifth, Dyersburg broke the game wide-open. With two aboard, Adam Smith stroked an RBI-double down the left field line before McNeil crushed a Portageville offering to deep left center.
Moments after Joey Wilder scored Zane Mathis from third on a sac fly, McNeil cleared the bases with a 3-run blast well over the wall in left field to put Dyersburg on top, 7-2. Standing in the on deck circle Brown must have been chomping at the bit for his turn at the dish, evident after the senior crushed a pitch to the back parking lot for an 8-2 advantage.
The Trojans went on to win the contest, 9-3.
On Saturday afternoon the Trojans traveled to Martin to face Westview in their next to last regular season district showdown against the Chargers, where the hits just kept on coming as the squad ended the game in the fifth with the 10-run rule, winning 12-2.
In the top of the second wit two outs and the bases loaded, Michael Brown ripped a laser to center for a 2-RBI single to put the Trojans in front, 2-1.

In the top of the fourth, McNeil smashed his second home run in as many days for a 3-1 lead before Chandler helped his own cause with an RBI-single for a 4-1 lead.
McNeil and Brown each doubled in the top of the fifth before Les Smith picked up his 10th home run of the season on a line drive that got out of the park in a hurry for a 10-1 cushion.
The Trojans would add an additional run in the inning before cruising to their ninth district win of the season, winning 12-2.
The Trojans are scheduled to meet the Chargers today at 3 p.m. to close out the district slate.
