Arthur Yancy, 64, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Services were held at Ridgely Chapel Saturday. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Yancy of Ridgely; five daughters, Lavon Yancy, Sharon Yancy, LaShana Yancy, Renae Pearson and Samantha Yancy, all of Ridgely; a son, Arthur Yancy Jr.; a stepson, Cory Biggs; a sister, Barbara Ann McCoy of Ridgely; two brothers, James Woods and Chico Yancy of Dyersburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Thomas Evon Vestal, 70, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired as a maintenance employee for Oldberg Manufacturing and Colonial Rubber Works, caretaker of Chic Cemetery and attended Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Phipps and the Rev. Mike McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Vestal of Dyersburg; a daughter, Corinne Vestal Hicks of Dyersburg; a son, Danny Vestal of Waverly Hall, Ga.; four sisters, Martha Turner of Dyersburg, Peggy Shults of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Fay Riley of Dyersburg and Joan Anjuar of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico; eight brothers, Dwayne Vestal of St. Louis, Mo., Tim, Terry, Jamie, Ray, Duran, Lanny and Wayne Vestal, all of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren, Justin Vestal, Daniel Hicks, Jessica Vestal Seymour, Lee Hicks and Lynley McCullough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Irine Vestal; and a brother, James Andrew Vestal.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Hicks, Lee Hicks, John Hicks, Jimmy Wells, Thomas Boals, Truman Anderson, Jamie Seymour and Barry Fowler.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church, 1105 Resthome Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
