Neighborhood meetings set across city for input to police

The Dyersburg Police Department's annual community meetings are set for May, with the first planned for Thursday for Evansville and South Dyersburg.

"Community meetings are designed to bring residents together to voice their concerns with city officials," said Capt. Steve Isbell.

The first meeting, for Evansville and South Dyersburg, is planned for 7 p.m at Evansville Baptist Church, 2217 5th Ave.

Other neighborhood meetings in May include:

Bruce

May 15, 2008, 7 p.m.

Tabernacle Baptist Church

539 East Court St.

Future City,

West Dyersburg

May 22, 2008, 7 p.m.

Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church

208 St. George St.

Mill Town,

East Dyersburg

May 27, 2008, 7:00 p.m.

Police Training Center

605 Lewis St. (north entrance)

I think we should have a Pill Hill neighborhood meeting at the Okeena Park Pavilion.....................

I noticed that several parts of the city had no meetings scheduled. Is there a reason for this omission?
