"Dallas, Dyersburg, Houston," said Chamber CEO Allen Hester. "Let me read that again. Dallas, Dyersburg, Houston. That's a pretty huge honor."
"To be gauged against competition like that, I guess they thought we were worthy," said Hester.
The magazine commented: "Dyer County may be small, with just 38,000 inhabitants, but the community in Northwest Tennessee packs a lot of punch.
"In 2007, the county landed five significant corporate real estate deals, totaling $56 million in capital investment and generating more than 840 new jobs."
Hester said the reason "might be trite, but unity -- singularity of purpose -- is what it takes. When all the stakeholders, the cities, the county, the business community work together, that's the team effort that's visible with the can-do spirit."

In other words, Dyer Co. ranks very high in working to keep out unions and pay their employees cut rate wages. Gosh I love it when I'm right!!
Unions, like the democrats are no longer for the working man. Unions take your dues and democrats take your money (taxes) and give to the undeserving lazy deadbeats.
Way to go, Dyersburg! There's only one Dyersburg. See for yourself. Google the word "Dyersburg" and all the hits will be Dyersburg, Tennessee. That's because there is no other Dyersburg - no Dyersburg, Mississippi or Dyersburg, Alabama or Dyersburg, Mexico, etc. We're unique!
