Patsy Ann Parker, 45, of Troy, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at her residence.

She was a homemaker.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel with the Rev. Archie Larry officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Dale Parker of Cloverdale; a son, Ronnie Charles Parker of Troy; three sisters, Randall Morgan of Tiptonville, Mary McHolland of Coweta, Okla., and Margaret Kolwyck of Troy; and three brothers, Robert Irvine of Tiptonville, Wayne Irvine of Ridgely, and Jeff Irvine of Kenton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances Irvine; and her brother, Joe Irvine.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Richards, Nelson Tolley, Thomas Dean, Mike Parker, Mark Baker and Jerry Morgan.

Evie Sue Younger Scates, 99, of Dyersburg, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired teacher for the state of Tennessee, and a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, XYZ Group at Dyersburg First Baptist Church, the Retired Teachers Association and the Tennessee Education Association.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ Stephens and the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield.

The family will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The widow of Dan Wharton Scates, her survivors include a daughter, Carol House of Dyersburg; two sons, Dan Y. Scates of North Carolina and David W. Scates of Humboldt; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kurt House, Brad Scates, Ted Carreira, Rodney Henry, David Tinkle and Kenneth Ladd.
