Jerry L. "Grasshopper" Daniels, 75, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired employee of Olberg Manufacturing and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Loren Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Reba L. Taylor Daniels of Dyersburg; a daughter, Dianne Seat of Dyersburg; two sons, Jerry Lee Daniels Jr. of Hornbeak and Don Fletcher of Dyersburg; two sisters, Doris Stephens of Dyersburg and Frances Veal of Erin; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Ray Daniels and Mary Elizabeth Maynard Daniels; and a brother, Terry Daniels.
Pallbearers will be Eric Seat, Jason Seat, Joshua Daniels, Justin Daniels, Jacob Daniels and Jim Simmons.
Lewis Randolph "Randy" Owens, 44, of Newbern, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at his residence.
He was an electrical engineer for Colonial Rubber/M.A. Hanna and worked for L&H Supply in Jackson and was a member of Newbern First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Vann Kissel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Smith Owens; three daughters, Amber Owens, Holly Owens and Sara Beth Owens, all of Newbern; his parents, Edmond and Linda Owens of Troy; a sister, Candace Jordan of Troy; a brother, Ronnie Owens of Troy; and his grandfather, Arthur Jordan of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Michael Olive, Brian Olive, Byron Smith, Walter Jordan, Ronnie Owens, Art Jordan, Brandon King and Mike Smith.
Edward Lee Young, 97, of Friendship, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Bells Nursing Home.
He was a retired farmer and a member of First Christian Church in Chestnut Bluff.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Funeral Home with Randy Jetton officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at noon Friday at the funeral home.
The widower of Ara Laverne Climer Young, survivors include a daughter, Sue White and husband, Harold, of Memphis; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
