William Russell "Rusty" Maynard Jr. 48, of Finley, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at his residence.
He was a sales clerk for Dyersburg Electrical Supply and a former member of Tennessee Army National Guard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bobby Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Misty Maynard of Dyersburg; a son Christopher Maynard of Dyersburg; his mother, Louise Metza of Michigan; four sisters, Joyce Peery and Debbie Young, both of Finley, Tina Randle of Ridgely and Sandra Burrus of Tiptonville; three brothers, Barry Moody of Finley, Kenneth Moody of Dyersburg, James "Bubby" Moody of Tiptonville; his father figure, James Everett Moody; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Russell "Buck" Maynard Sr.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Anderson, Donnie Wilson, Danny Copeland, Alan Goodwin, Justin Lawson and Dwayne Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Moody and James "Bubby" Moody.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Charlotte Baker Rice, 88, of Dyersburg, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at her residence.
She was a retired bookkeeper for John A. Johnston Implement Company and a longtime employee of Salemfriends Department Store, member of East Dyersburg United Methodist Church, Busy Bees Quilting Group, Methodist Women and previously a member of Tigrett Methodist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at East Dyersburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Wolfgang officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 1:30 p.m. at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Melinda R. Evans of Dyersburg and Susan R. Turner of Arlington; a sister, Jane B. Phillips of Ridgely; a brother, Donald K. "Buddy" Baker of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Rice; her parents, Isaac Hassell Baker and Mary Martha Johnson Baker; a sister, Dorothy Baker; and two brothers, James Jasper Baker and Thomas Johnson "Toby" Baker.
Pallbearers will be Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Greg Alford, Jackie Keeling, Don Thomas Turner and Dr. Terry W. Turner.

Jessie Petty Sawyer, 84, of Newbern, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis.
She was a retired nursing assistant at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, retired beauty shop operator and former employee of Morris Manufacturing Company in Newbern, a member of the Church of Christ and of the Eastern Star.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Parks Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Master Sergeant Will Sawyer of Newbern; a daughter, Shirley Sawyer Eden-Kilgour of Newbern; a sister, Laverne Peevyhouse of Newbern; three grandchildren, Heather Allison Eden Kilgour Bramhall, William "Kieran" Hughes and Terrance Mason "Cougar" Snow, all of North Pole, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse James Petty and Hattie Bridges Spradlin; and a brother, George W. Spradlin.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Smith, Kenneth Sawyer, Phillip Daniel, Clifford Tabor, John Allen Thompson, Bobby Peevyhouse, Gene Willis and Mike Stephens.
