Odella Ferrell Dunn, 87, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired nurse, a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Millsfield, Eastern Star, FCE Club, and senior volunteer program, and was co-owner and operator of Dunn's Grocery in Dresden.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Edmundson and Bro. Robert Craig officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg.
Survivors include three daughters, Jayne Lock of Dyersburg, Nancy Joyner of Canton, Miss., and Peggy Brand of Glencoe, Mo.; a brother, T.J. Ferrell of Dresden; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Talbert Jethro and Emma Workman Ferrell; and a sister, Mozella Parker.
Pallbearers will be David Brand, Stephen Brand, Brad Perry, Jeffrey Mech, Tom Parisi, Jeff Mech, Johnnie Ferrell and Jamison Mosley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Johnathan Mosley.
Henry W. Horton III, 76, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor.
He was a retired employee of the city of Dyersburg and a member of Newbern First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at R.H. Munford Cemetery in Covington with the Rev. Danny Klutts officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include his friends at Dyersburg Manor and Newbern First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry W. Horton II and Beulah Hopper Horton.
Pallbearers will be Scott Giles, Larry Dunaway, Alan Wilks, Lincoln Pledge, Bill Coffman and David Allen.
Zora Lee Whitt, 93, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Sewell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Baker of Lansing, Mich. and Barbara Rischel and husband, Al, of Dyersburg; a sister, Alberta Turner of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Wanda, Raymond, Vicki and Alvin; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlen C. Whitt; her parents, Cas V. Hendrix and Elizabeth Norton Hendrix; a sister, Flossie Malugen; three brothers, Homer Hendrix, Reuben Hendrix and N.C. Hendrix; and a grandchild, Michele.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Baker, Don Bates, Jeff Garret, David Hoy, Al Rischel and Willie Slaughter.
