Naomi Elizabeth Daniel Berry, 86, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker, a retired employee of Oak Manor in McKenzie, a Methodist and a member of the Dyersburg Home Demonstration Club.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Charles Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Emily Nannette Daniel of Newbern and Norma Louise Wilkes of Huntingdon; five sons, Paul Monroe Daniels of Sandy, Utah, Jerald Timothy Daniel of Newbern, James Alan Daniel of Broken Arrow, Okla., Phillip Ray Daniel of Munford, and Walter Kendall Daniel of McKenzie; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter Reynolds and Aultie Emma Lee Reynolds; three sisters, Ruth Gasser, Mildred Naples and Louise Gill; and two brothers, Floyd Reynolds and Paul Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Daniel, Keith Daniel, Danny Daniel, David Daniel, Steven Daniels, Christopher Daniel and Jonathan Daniel.


William A. "Bill" Finch, 82, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a 55-year member of Dyersburg First Assembly of God, where he served on the official church board.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Stoner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Covia R. Finch; a daughter, Cynthia Cowell and husband, Joe, of Dyersburg; a brother, Jere Finch of Memphis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Finch and Beunie Ball Finch; two sisters, Peggy Finch Hill and Nyreata Finch Free; and a brother, Tom Finch.

Pallbearers will be Jere Finch, Mike Free, Gerald Newbill, Doug Shepherd, Bobby Estes and Rollie Devor. Honorary pallbearers will be Lyle Adams, Rick Finch, Keith Free, Lloyd Easterwood and Wendell Walker.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Dyersburg First Assembly of God Church or the American Glaucoma Association.


Rev. Thomas Childress "T.C." Thurman, 81, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

He was a retired Baptist minister who served for 50 years at churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas, served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, and was a member of Fort Hudson Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Pirtle and the Rev. Don Laymon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas C. Thurman and wife, Kimberly, of Mississippi, David R. Thurman and wife, Susan, of Manchaca, Texas, and Billy D. Thurman of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Lisa Kazempour, Darin Thurman, David Thurman, Jeff Thurman, Troy Thurman and Lacy Thurman; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ali Mae Thurman; his parents, Austin and Merlie Thurman; three sisters and two brothers.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Fort Hudson Baptist Church, 2725 St. John Ave., Dyersburg, TN 38024.


Marie Webb, 74, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Oakwood Community Living Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of Independent Free Holiness Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home with Brother Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Millner of Dyersburg; three sons, Tony Lee Webb, Gary Kevin Webb and Ricky Lynn Webb, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Charles Ray Richardson of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lee Webb; and her parents, Raymond and Beatrice Richardson.
