The Dyersburg Mall's Kids Club event had members meeting at the polls to cast ballots for their favorite dairy candidates at its June event.

Kids Club members participated in a dairy taste test between representatives from the cheese, yogurt and milk parties.

The tabulated ballots, with no hanging chads reported, revealed a tie between cheese and yogurt.

No legal complaints have been filed by the respective supporters.

Caitlin Fogarty of Dyer County 4-H presented the program.

The presentation included an explanation of the benefits of dairy and which foods contain dairy products.

Rylee Moore, 4-year-old daughter of Edward and Ashley Moore of Trimble was the winner of June's Kids Club drawing.

The Kids Club is a free monthly event geared toward teaching children about safety, gardening, weather, exercise and much more.

Presentations and activities are geared to children between the ages of 3 and 8 years old, but anyone interested is welcome to attend.

A learning presentation with crafts and activities is typically offered free of charge on the fourth Thursday of each month to all Kids Club Members.

To sign up for Kids Club, parents need to bring their children to center court at the meeting time or stop by the mall office during business hours. Membership entitles each child to participate in the monthly activities.
