Obituaries for July 13, 2008

Toby Minley, 51, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a former truck driver for Forcum-Lannom.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. James Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Minley of Dyersburg; a daughter, Pennie Bailey and husband, Mike, of Dyersburg; two sons, T.J. Minley and Justin Humphrey, both of Dyersburg; five sisters, Dorothy Mitchell of Trinity Center, Calif., Rhoda Burton, Terry Garner and Beth Brasfield, all of Dyersburg, and Gloria Johnson of Clarksville; a brother, Tommy Minley of Darden; and two grandchildren, Cory Bailey and Erin Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ennis and Mary Phillips Minley, and a sister, Bertha McDivitt.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brasfield, Gary Brasfield, Travis Roberson, Tim Simmons, Bruce McDivitt, Thomas Minley Jr. and Mike Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Wilkerson and Ed Fortner.
