Jack Duane Haney, 78, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at his residence.
He was retired as an employee of Trunkline Gas Company after 33 years, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a member of Hess Masonic Lodge No. 93 for 50 years, a member of Scottish Rite, Knights Templar and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joan Shawn Haney; two daughters, Kerry Colleen Haney of Dyersburg and Laura Kay Willems and husband, John, of Sikeston, Mo.; two sons, Jon Duane Haney of Clarkdale, Ariz. and Jeff B. Haney and wife, Kim, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; a sister, Carole Hamblen of Shelbyville, Ill.; a brother, James Haney of Mattoon, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Madison L. Haney of Cottonwood, Ariz., Jacob S. Haney and Iana A. Haney of Clarkdale, Ariz., David A. Willems of Sikeston, Mo., and Chase C. Haney of Cottonwood, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville C. Haney and Bernadine Cross Haney of Tuscola, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be directed to Shriners Children's Hospital.
