Authorities are seeking information on the murder of a Halls man on Wednesday.

Johnny Lee Kerby, 64, 217 Hazel St., died from a suspected trauma to the head, said District Attorney General Mike Dunivant.

Several people described by "persons of interest" are being sought for interviews about the incident. A woman has been arrested for theft from Kerby's residence that occurred in the same timeframe as the murder, said Dunivant.

The Halls Police Department is working with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on the circumstances surrounding Kerby's death, said Dunivant.
