Charles Lamb Jr., 75, of Ridgely, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired employee of Delta Corp. of Wynnburg and a member of the Church of God.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home - Ridgely Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Mahan officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Lamb of Ridgely; three sons, Bo Lamb and Tim Miller, both of Ridgely, and Jerome Miller of Troy; three sisters, Doris Scott of Ridgely, Sue Perkins of Tiptonville and Nancy Holly of Colona, Ill.; three brothers, Bobby Lamb of Tiptonville, Wayne Lamb of Newbern and Carl Lamb of Louisiana; and seven grandchildren, Joseph Miller, Alley Miller, Jacob Miller, Ryan Miller, Jessie Miller, Logan Lamb and Kinleigh Lamb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Luella Lamb; two sisters, Betty Chamberlain and Brenda Lamb; and three brothers, Doug Lamb, Tony Lamb and Allen Lamb.
Pallbearers will be John Fisher Jr., Ed Sumara, Joseph Sumara, Craig Smith, Rodney Marvin and Butch Lamb. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Miller, Larry Scott, Glendale Page, Billy Lamb and Johnny Willis.
Christine Voss Hall, 88, of Newbern, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City.
She was an employee of Arthur Winner Manufacturing Co. in Indiana and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Bob Conley officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include five nieces, Martha Clemmons of Hornbeak, Katie Buckelew of Fulton, Ky., Gail Godsey of Dresden, Shirley Hubble of Greenfield, and Janie Duncan of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, including Jackie Campbell of Troy, who cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hall; her parents, Clarence and Irene Mealer Voss; two brothers, Algie Voss and Charles Voss; and a niece, Jo Smith.
Pallbearers will be Larry Maupin, Larry Williamson, Claude Perkins, Bobby Vanhoy, Gene Willis and Robert Clemmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith McDonald, Paul Hubble and Sonny Godsey.
Penny Lucinda Turnbow, 42, of Obion died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
She was a former employee of Jimmy Dean Foods and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City, where she was a Hall of Fame choir member.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Obion.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Turnbow of Obion; a daughter, Sheena J. Turnbow of Jackson; a son, Christopher Adam Turnbow of Jackson; her mother, Wilma Faye Fagan Thomason of Obion; a sister, Helen Faye Sullivan of Obion; and a brother, Ricky Dale Thomason of Obion.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Thomason.
Pallbearers will be Terry Hinson, Mark Hinson, Adam Turnbow, Ricky Turnbow, Chris Raymar and Ronnie Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Travis and Frank Hinson.
