Carrie B. Cunningham, 96, of Ridgely, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Ridgely Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Broadmoor Church of Christ for 30 years.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Loy Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Harrison and Virgil Cunningham; her parents, William M. and Jane Short Walker; and a sister, Gradie Yarbro.
Pallbearers will be Jim Nichols, Scott Nichols, Jerry Harris, David Rhoads, Purvis Lay and Jimmy Parson.
Ava Hall Leary, 100, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Alma Potts Sunday school class.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Leslie and Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Thursday in the church's chapel.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Hall Burks and husband, Johnny, of Dyersburg; a son, Glen W. Hall and wife, JoAnn, of Pawley's Island, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Mark Hall, Virginia Heisell, Lisa Burks Escue, Taylor Burks, Stephen Hall, Forrest Hall, Phillip Hall and Ava Embry; seven great-grandchildren, Cody Escue, Stephen Escue, Gavin Hall, Baldwin Hall, Conner Hall, Ava Hall and Evan Hall; and a niece, Sue Black Dilliard and husband, John, of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hall, and a grandchild, Stan Walker.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Transitions, 432 W. Court St., Dyersburg, TN 38024; Matthew 25:40, 250 Youth Home Road, Dyersburg, TN; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Pauline H. Reed, 86, of Memphis, formerly of Surgartree and Rossville, Tenn., died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Methodist Germantown.
She was retired as executive secretary for Troxel Manufacturing Co. in Moscow, Tenn.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Jerry Leach officiating. Burial will be in Yorkville Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at noon Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy R. Wilson of Memphis; a son, Gary A. Reed Sr. of Surgartree; a brother, Fred Herpel of Sarasota, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Gary "Paco" Reed Jr. of Jensen Beach, Fla., Dustin Reed of Collierville, John "J.D." Wilson of Pensacola, Fla., and Kristin Wilson of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Carlos Egbert Reed; and her parents, Max and Frances Oravetz Herpel.
