Brian Halliburton, 38, of Gates, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Ripley.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Halls High School with the Rev. Booker Joe Nance Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Gates. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Darion U. Halliburton and Antonio M. Halliburton, both of Colene, Texas; his mother, Dorothy Halliburton of Gates; his father, Sammy Halliburton of Halls; a sister, Rachel Halliburton of Tunica, Miss.; and two brothers, Bruce Halliburton of Memphis and Sammy Lee Halliburton Jr. of Horne Lake, Miss.
William Rice "Popeye" Gibbons Jr., 70, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from Dyersburg Fabrics after 23 years of service and was a member of First Christian Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Hogue officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Jeffery Lynn Gibbons of Dyersburg; a sister, Phila Davis of Newbern; a brother, James "Jughead" Gibbons of Dyersburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Gibbons; his parents, William Rice Gibbons Sr. and Alma Banks Gibbons; and three sisters, Alma Lou Gibbons, Doris Gibbons and Dorothy Collingsworth.
Pallbearers will be Larry Dunaway, Joe Heathcott, Jim Hardin, Charlie Patton, Chris Rainey and Dustin Rainey.
