Nancy Ann Garrison, 63, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Finley, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems.

A memorial service will be held in Finley at 11 a.m. Aug. 23 at Finley United Pentecostal Church.


Mitchell Allen Hipp, 41, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 at his residence.

He was an active member of the Assembly of God in Newbern.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Hirchie Schaffner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his fiancée, Alison Murray; two daughters, Shelby Elaine Hipp of Lewisburg and Haley Montana Hipp of Newbern; his mother, Linda Stone and husband, Elliott, of Brighton; his stepmother, Sylvia Hipp of Newbern; two sisters, Cathleen Warren and Jennifer Hipp, both of Newbern; and two brothers, twin Michael Allen Hipp of Norcross, Ga., and Tony Hipp of Newbern.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Allen Hipp.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Hipp, Jared Orman, Steven Murray, Wayne Augry and Kyle Autry. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Hipp, Jeff Orman, John Paul Orman, Rusty Burrow, Randy Burrow and Casey King.

James Jordan Key

James Jordan Key, 81, of Tiptonville, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville.

He was a retired employee of Baird-Ward in Nashville and a member of the Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Stuart Dyer officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Estes Key of Tiptonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershell and Annis Key; a sister and a brother.

Pallbearers will be Bub Tubbs, Joel Dunn, Terry Dunn, Richard Runions, Johnny Reynolds and Corey Morgan.


Louis Sawyer, 84, of Mason Hall, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Union City.

He was a farmer, a deacon and member of Bethpage Baptist Church and former trustee of Bethpage Cemetery.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethpage Baptist Church in Mason Hall with the Rev. Tony Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Bethpage Cemetery. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda S. Moore and husband, Bobby, of Brentwood; three brothers, Glen Sawyer and Lloyd Sawyer, both of Kenton, and Talmadge Sawyer of Farmington, Mich.; two grandchildren, Johnny Moore and wife, Jeneane, of Mt. Juliet, and Tom Sawyer Moore and wife, Trisia, of Murfreesboro; and four great-grandchildren, Jenna Moore, Tyler Moore, J.D. Moore and Katie Moore.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Park Sawyer; three sisters, Ethel Lake, Alta Smith and Martha Jones; and seven brothers, Chesley Sawyer, J.M. Sawyer, Bill Sawyer, George Sawyer, Wayne Sawyer, Wilbur Sawyer and Larience Sawyer.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Sawyer, Ricky Littleton, Todd Littleton, Tommy Griggs, George Wade and Lee Smith.
