The grant money will be used for a playground and safety surface as well as upgrades to restrooms and other park amenities.
"These grants will enhance and expand special places like parks, greenways, and recreational facilities that are set aside for the enjoyment of our state's citizens and visitors alike," said Gov. Phil Bredesen. "I'm extremely pleased that this year's grant awards will allow us to help make 87 important projects a reality across the state of Tennessee."
Funding for the $11.9 million worth of grants across the state was generated by the real estate transfer tax.
All LPRF grants require a 50 percent match by the recipient.
