A 17-year-old Dyersburg youth was arrested without incident Wednesday, Aug. 20 on charges of attempted first-degree murder.
Dyersburg Police responded to shots fired at about 10 p.m. on Monday in the 900 block of Scott Street. Officers found shell casings in the street and were informed that a van that was involved in the shooting had fled the scene. Upon locating the van, officers discovered a bullet hole, and that the driver, James Bonner of Obion County, had been shot in the back. Bonner was treated at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center and released that same night. Comments

Ginny2 and birdlover62 thank you for what you say i have been reading this forum for a while and commenting and once i had a few words trying to make a point about the race issue and it makes me feel good to know that even though your not black that you can understand that people are people no matter what the color is ,and that crime is every where and it dont have color its good and bad and sometimes evil. You must have been raised to love and not hate like my mother raised me and my sisters and brother ,to accept everyone no matter what the color is and respect them as long as they are giving you the same respect.I have alot of respect for you two .
Dyersburg is fine Panhead57..it's just a few chosen, and or officials that need the boot.Go for a ride with ur Harley friend ,you'll be ok then.
For your information milk p it was not black on black. And like birdlover62 said it should not matter the color!!!
Nothing wrong with dyersburg panhead57, just a chosen few residents and i might add officials.
Does it matter if it is black on black! It is still people shooting at each other! People need to put down the guns and go back to the old way of fighting. With your hands. That is if you have to fight. I am a white person and I'm tired of reading about black on black violence. It should not matter the color. It is still a life being taken.
