Zannie Gooch, 64, of Gates, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Antioch Curve Missionary Baptist Church in Gates with the Rev. John Payne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Bell Gooch of Gates; three daughters, Gina Gooch of Halls, Carolyn Gooch of Gates and Veronica Gooch of Ripley; six sisters, Berda Jean Miller of East Chicago, Ind., Naomi Stister of Byron, Ga., Ollie Dewalt and Charlotte Pearson, both of Gates, Mary Jones of Union City, and Lavern Deathrow of Bolivar; two brothers, Eddie Gooch of Halls and Gene Gooch of Ripley; and five grandchildren.
Juanita Arnold Hastings, 85, of Newbern, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was retired as a hairdresser and employee of Sylvania, and a member of RoEllen Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Lance Hawley officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors from 4:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Hastings McLaurin and husband, Walter, of Oxford, Miss., Jackie Hastings Moore and Donna Hastings Selby, both of Newbern; a son, Charles Michael Hastings and wife, Karen, of Grand Island, Neb.; a special niece, Edith Flatt; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Hastings; her parents, William Henry and Ollie Roberta Arnold; three sisters, Dimple Flatt, Flora Gallahaire and Elizabeth Arnold; and four brothers, Bill Arnold, Bob Arnold, Henry Arnold and Jack Arnold.
Pallbearers will be Jay Troutt, James Thomas Cobb II, Jon Troutt, Shane Pledge, Steven Pledge, Bradley Grimison and David Pledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Tiede, Laura Hawley, Stephanie Schrader and Emily Hastings.
Jeff Mitchell, 31, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a construction worker and a Catholic.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Father Russell D. Harbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Georgeann and George Hettman of Dyersburg; and two sisters, Barbara Wilson and Laura Glascoff, both of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers were Thomas Workman Jr., Charles Glascoff, Jarrod Prince, Cody Anderson, Frank Scroggins and Ray White.
Paul S. Peevyhouse, 51, of Yorkville, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 at his residence.
He was a mechanic for the Department of Defense in Trenton and an active member of the Army National Guard in Trenton.

Neva Nail Simpson, 83, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ora Hendrix Essary, and her sister, June Fisher.

Cora Elizabeth Brown Tucker, 91, of the Johnson Grove community, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 at Gallatin Healthcare.
She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Grove Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Maury City Cemetery with the Rev. Elize Danley and Bobby Ray Phillips officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Cherry of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, John Franklin Tucker IV and wife, Michelle, of Bethpage, and John Jay Tucker and wife, Erin, of Lascassas; and a great-grandchild, Hunter Tucker of Bethpage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. Tucker; a son, J.F. Tucker Jr.; and her parents, Joe and Olivia Adams Brown.

Lonnie G. Wood Jr., 52, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
He was a former employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dyer County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ronnie Turner officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie G. Wood III and Josh Wood, both of Dyersburg; his father, Lonnie Garland Wood Sr. and wife, Nadine, of Dyersburg; and a brother, Kent Hickman of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Riley Wood; and a brother, Lowell Wood.
Pallbearers will be Josh Wood, Mike Atchison, Kirk Hickman, Rickey Weeks, Jeff Reed and Danny Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Hickman, Harry Adams, Frank Scoggins, Phillip McGuire and Josh Scoggins.
