Lilly Bell Anderson, 88, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Evansville Free Holiness Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Russell of Dyersburg; three sons, Alvie Lynn Anderson and Roger "Speedy" Anderson, both of Dyersburg, and John Anderson of Lenox; a brother, Geed Armstrong of Dyersburg; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Anderson; seven sons, Melvin Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Allen Anderson, Bob Anderson, Dan Anderson and Bill Anderson; her father, Payton Armstrong; a sister, Rosie Brimm; and four brothers, Goodlow Armstrong, Chester Armstrong, Sam Armstrong and Partee Armstrong.
Pallbearers will be Allen Anderson Jr., J.J. Russell, Brian Russell, Charles Anderson, Tim Jackson and Raymond Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be George Anderson, Did Hayes and Eddie Pruitt.
Jamie E. Jackson, 85, of Nebo, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at West Tennessee Transitional Care in Jackson.
He was a retired employee of Brown Shoe Co., a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Nebo United Methodist Church and an avid checker player and gardener.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Wolfgang and the Rev. Tommy Jowers officiating. Burial will be in Yorkville Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Danny Webb Jackson and wife, Page, of Jackson; two sisters, Joycelyn Davis and husband, Billy, of Denham Springs, La., and Rebecca McIlwain Titus and husband, Bob, of Hudson, Fla.; three grandchildren, Keith Douglas Jackson and wife, Carol, Laura Leigh Jackson and Samuel Thomas Jackson; a great-grandchild, Cody Thomas Jackson; and three nieces, Donna Davis Byers, Gwen McIlwain Baker and Melinda McIlwain VanNortwich.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Ann Webb Jackson; and his parents, Horace Armon and Laura Faye Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Keith Jackson, Sam Jackson, Bill Needham, Bobby Carlton, J.B. Scott, Ray Scott, Gaylon Hardin, Bill Parks and Aaron Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Jetton and O'Guinn Moore.
Charlie W. Wyrick, 94, of Newbern, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired farmer, U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Newbern.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in McCorkle Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include four daughters, Jean Croskery and husband, J.R., Faye Fulkerson and husband, Paul, and Martha Sellers, all of Dyersburg, and Doannie Robertson and husband, David, of Ridgely; a son, Jimmy Wyrick and wife, Brenda, of Newbern; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Nelson Wyrick; two sons, Billy Wyrick and Johnny Wyrick; his parents, Nathiel W. and Fannie Mae Wyrick; two sisters, Louella Wyrick and Elizabeth Crowell; a brother, Dan Wyrick; and a great-grandson, Curtis Windle.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Brice, Dale Snow, Brian Hatch, Roy Adams, Tony Kolwyck, Kenneth Jackson, Corey Windle and Tim Windle.
