Donald Dean Johnson, 77, of Memphis, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
He was retired as an electronics technician for Memphis Light, Gas and Water after 25 years and a member of East Side Baptist Church in Memphis.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at High Point Funeral Chapel, 3788 Summer Ave., Memphis, with Brother Teddy Steele of East Side Baptist church officiating.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. Johnson and wife, Ann, of Memphis; a brother Billy Dean Johnson and wife, Margaret, of Dyersburg; a grandson, Michael Johnson of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie Johnson; a sister Helen Johnson French; and two brothers, Walter Johnson Jr. and Sam Johnson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
