Edith Scoby Flack, 85, of Martin, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at Martin Health Care.
She was a former employee of Weakley County Nursing Home and a member of Gardner United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin with the Rev. Larry Humbert and Terry Vancleave officiating. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Garden.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Martha Haynes and Joann McCanless, both of Dyersburg; and a brother-in-law, Wilbur Tackett of Palmersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Flack; her parents, Luther and Mary Lou Scoby; and three sisters, Lucille Tackett, Nadine Crenshaw and Florence Eddleman.
Pallbearers will be Dale Tackett, Gene Tackett, Ray Tackett, Danny Cook, Larry Gurley and Danny Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Garner, Harold Garner and Leon Mires.
Abbie Evelyn Vaden, 88, of Ripley, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at Covington Care Center.
She was a retired factory worker and a member of Hurricane Hill Methodist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
The widow of James Howard Vaden, her survivors include a daughter, Judy Mills of Ripley; a son, J.H. Vaden Jr. of Manchester; two sisters, Bobbie Kee of Dyersburg and Joann Nelson of Quincy, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
