James T. Allen, 73, of Kenton, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a steel mill employee and a U.S. Army veteran.
Graveside services will be at noon Friday in Poplar Grove Cemetery of Newbern with the Rev. Perry Grills officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m.-11:45 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Williams and husband, Steve, and Lori Allen, all of Trimble; a son, Robert Allen and wife, Mitzi, of Newbern; three sisters, Ann Austin of Charlotte, N.C., Ruth Kriner of Jacksonville, Fla. and Verla Mai Mills of Eageland, N.C.; two brothers, Gene Allen of Concord, N.C. and Joel Allen of Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Ashley Draper, Joshua Allen and Shae Hollomon; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Tosh, Shae Hollomon, Joshua Allen, Ronnie McKnight, Cody Tosh and Robert Dean.
Kathryn E. Clarkson, 81, of Estill Springs, Tenn., died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at her residence.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester, Tenn., with Bro. Randy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Friendship at 4 p.m. Friday.
The family will receive visitors at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Steele and husband, Charlie, of Estill Springs; a son, Eddie Joyner and wife, Iris, of Martin; a half sister, Mary Jane Rice of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Lori Knauber and husband, Richard, and Calvin Trussell and wife, Kristina; four great-grandchildren, Elyse Kelly, Bethann Kelly, Brittney Trussell and Rachel Trussell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Etta Louise Frazier; her stepmother, Elza "Cotton" Clarkson; two sisters, Louise Shocklee and Nell Davis; and a half brother, Billy Frazier.
Jerry Wayne Coker, 64, of Halls, formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Grace Bible Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Hixson officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery in Halls.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Coker of Halls; two daughters, Melissa Louise Wilson of Gates and Kelly Renee Coker of Halls; a son, Mark Coker Sr. of Halls; two brothers, Joe Coker and Lawrence Coker, both of Dyersburg; and nine grandchildren.
Durward Webb, 67, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired as a Tennessee Highway Patrolman, a former Newbern policeman, a retired truck driver, a Shriner, 32nd-degree Mason and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Monica Webb of Newbern; a daughter, Catherine Webb of Newbern; two sisters, Shirley Anderson and Patsy Glisson, both of Dyersburg; a grandson, Jake Dalton Walker of Newbern; and a special niece who was his caregiver, Felicia Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Durward and Ruth Webb; two brothers, Tommy O. Webb and Wesley Webb; two nephews, Thomas Grant Webb and Billy Cooper; and a great-niece, Sabrina Webb.
