General Sessions Judge Jason Hudson is sworn into office as his wife, Lee, holds a Bible and Judge Steve Stafford of the Tennessee Court of Appeals administers the oath. The ceremony was held Friday with a standing-room-only crowd in the general sessions courtroom. The Dyer County Commission appointed Hudson to the seat after the sitting judge, Tony Childress, was elected Chancellor. Hudson thanked several people for their assistance through the years, including his wife, Lee; fellow attorney John Palmer, who took a chance on a young attorney; the Dyer County Bar Association; Judge Stafford; and his parents, Don and Joyce Hudson.
