The driver lost control of his vehicle, in a curve, and struck a telephone pole on the passenger side.
Moments after the wreck occurred, the vehicle burst into flames. The driver and four occupants, had to be pulled from the burning vehicle by people at the scene of the accident.
The driver was Josh Hutcherson. His brother, David Lee "Justin" Hutcherson, from Halls, was the front seat passenger.
In the rear seat of the vehicle were; a 15 year-old female, the mother of the juvenile, and another male, Richard Mosely.
The victims, of the accident, suffered burns due to the fire that destroyed the vehicle.
All three males had to air lifted to the Med, in Memphis, for treatment.
The mother and daughter were rushed to the Dyersburg emergency room, and from there they were transported by ambulance to the Med.
Charges are pending due to the outcome of the investigation, which is still in the preliminary stage.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Josh Hutcherson and Richard Mosely Jr. were in good condition. David Lee "Justin" Hutcherson was in critical condition. Linda Low and her daughter, were both in serious condition.

Hospitals employ humans, who are not perfect, just a comment to say... Dyersburg Hospital is there when you need them, and do a wonderful job. Twice they have saved my life, literally. They also know when to send you somewhere else for better treatment. God bless the EMT's and Paramedics. Dyersburg's Emergency Room Staff, and all their doctors and nurses. I can never be grateful enough, neither can my husband or my children.
I feel sorry for the people who were transported to the Dyersburg Hospital. If they were not in bad shape when they got there, they were when they left. That is the worst hospital I have EVER seen....

Gotta love a hometown paper that you can read in three minutes. Great job State Gazette. Now you can use the 50 cents that I pay for my paper to hire someone else to censor the web comments on your site.
Fancy, thank you. I want ya'll to know that I live in Lakewood, and I walked down my driveway to my neighbors house and watched both helicopters land to pick up these victims. It was very scary. I just kept praying and praying as I stood outside in complete darkness. I went to sleep thinking about it, and I dreamt about it that night. I woke up praying. I even cried sitting at my kitchen table wondering how these ppl were doing. I don't know you or Brooke or any of the victims, but I have been affected by this just by being at home that night. I will continue praying for ya'll, your friends, your loved ones, and the doctors and nurses taking care of them. God bless.
Thank you Brook.
Kurlyoks I can't tell everything about this story as it is still under investagation however the family knows what was involved and what cause this accident, Richard you are a Hero for pulling everybody out of the car even with your injuries, you still got everybody out, the people on the scene are heros as well for helping pull everybody away from the vechicle after Richard got them out, before the car exploded, I can say that David is in very serous condition and needs everybodies prayers, The 15 year old girl was in a coma but is now out but still not out of the woods they are still draining fluid off of her brain today, Linda is in a room at the Med and doing better they had to put some plates in her arms because they are both broken, The families has stayed at the Med since Monday night waiting to hear thier loved ones will be ok, Just know you will be hearing more about this case as the reports come in and tox results are read. I understand that the families are upset and want nothing but for thier loved ones to get better. And have every right to be upset by the first article. Troy my prayers are with you as you stay at the Med with Linda and her Daughter during their recovery.

Hi. I am the daughters step-sister and I have been with the family since the accident. All five people are still in the med. I am not sure how all of the boys are because I have not been with them. Linda and Chasity are getting better. Linda has has surgery on her arm and is in a step-down unit. Chasity is still in the trauma center. She has improved from the day of the accident. At this time we have hit a stand-still, she is not improving or getting worse. She has severe head injuries. Thanks
Where are the past responses to this article. Linda and Daughter you are in our Prayers
I have noticed that the story has been changed on here, and all of the comments have been deleted. I have no problem with that at all. Fancy, I wanted to know if you would tell us the rest of the story or the whole truth. They deleted your previous comment, but I would like to know. Was there something else that caused the accident? Also, I do think some things could have been added to this article. Like several residents on Lenox Nauvoo Rd, Lakewood and surrounding areas were without lights and phone service for about three hours. And that 2 AirEvacs flew to the scene to get victims, but they could not land on Lenox Nauvoo. The victims were transported by ambulance to the parking lot in Lakewood where the AirEvac helicopters were waiting.
