Grace Vaughn Butler, 99, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired owner of Butler's Restaurant in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and beautician with LaVague Beauty Shop, and a member of Fowlkes Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The widow of William E. Butler, survivors include a niece, Linda Coker of Fowlkes; two nephews, Ronald Vaughn of Fowlkes and Jerry Vaughn of Dyersburg; and two cousins, Doris Leach of RoEllen and Doris Whitney of Memphis.
Pallbearers will be Tim Vaughn, Scott Vaughn, Jason Vaughn, Jeff Coker, Bob Veal and Rusty Hilliard.
Walter Long Jr., 75, of Ripley, died Sept. 30, 2008 at Lauderdale Community Living Center in Ripley.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert Holland officiating. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Long of Ripley; a daughter, Felichia Long of Ripley; a son, Walter Long III of Ripley; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Long of Ripley; a sister, Marilyn Miller of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a brother, Curtis Long of Milwaukee, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
William Taylor, of Ripley, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley. Burial will be in Canfield Cemetery in Ripley.
The family will receive visitors at noon-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, James Smith of Memphis; a sister, Ruby Hart of Tiptonville; a niece who cared for him, Shirley Taylor of Ripley; and four grandchildren.
