Flora Brown Morgan, 76, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Halls Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Morgan of Dyersburg; four daughters, Jo Ann Rupp of Atoka, Patricia Morgan of Byhalia, Miss. and Judy Westby and Hazel Morgan, both of Memphis; a sister, Pazzetta Adams of Dyersburg; three brothers, Carl Dean Steward of Sullivan, Ill. and William Steward of Friendship; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Cordelia Olden, 67, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley with the Rev. Booker Joe Nance Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Everlasting Life cemetery in Covington.
The family will receive visitors at noon-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include six daughters, Fergenna Halliburton, Valerie Wells and Betty Olden, all of Dyersburg, Effie Wells and Mary Ann Trimble, both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Dorothy Halliburton of Gates; four sons, Kenneth Wells of Maury City, James Wells of Dyersburg, Johnny Frank Wells of Gates and Steve Wells of Halls; four sisters, Dorothy Stenson of Halls, and Cora Arnold, Cora Davis and Mary Sue Lucas, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; a brother, A.C. Wilson of Chicago, Ill.; 31 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Bea Turnbo, 64, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Hickman, Ky. for 32 years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Uzzle officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Turnbo of Dyersburg; a daughter, Judy Hamil and husband, Philip, of Union City; a son, Gary Turnbo and wife, Susan, of Dyersburg; her mother, Christine Rundles Maxwell of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren, Ryan Hamil, Jon-Tyler Hamil, Monica Turnbo, Beth Pittman and Matt Pittman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Rundles; and two brothers, Hugh Rundles and J.B. Rundles.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Uzzle, Aaron Baker, Jaron Baker, Chase Jones, Randy Jones and Jeff Jones.
W.C. "Sleepy" White, 88, of Yorkville, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 at Gibson County General Hospital.
He was a retied employee of the state of Tennessee, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member and elder of Yorkville Church of Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Paris and Bro. Erik Davis officiating. Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Evelyn Garrett White of Yorkville; a son, Charles White of Lebanon; a daughter-in-law, Brenda White of Memphis; a sister, Jeannie Arnold of Yorkville; six grandchildren, Kim White, Chuck White and wife, Buffy, and Leslie White Hammontree and husband, Trent, all of Lebanon, Tenn., Jeff White and wife, Melissa, and Chris White and wife, Sam, all of Memphis; 10 great-grandchildren, Jessica McDonald, Seth Horner, Heather White, Hope White and Talor Hammontree, all of Lebanon, Tenn., Alex White, Peyton White, Carlson White, Ella White and Camilla White, all of Memphis; and a great-great-grandchild, Bella Kay Hankins of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by a son, Danny White; his parents, C.E. and Ica Pearl Austin White; two sisters, Hosline Poole and Margaret Faye Norman; two brothers, Jim White and Melvin White; and a grandson, Tim White.
Pallbearers will be Chuck White, Jeff White, Trent Hammontree, Don Todd and Franklin Pope.
