Callie Lu Fowler Acred, 73, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the youth and senior choir and United Methodist Women, a former Girl Scout leader, Cotillion Club member, charter member of Budding Garden Club, partner in Acred Shoe Store, member of the Parent-Teachers Association, and recently celebrated her 55-year high school class reunion.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Acred of Dyersburg; and two daughters, Laurie Acred Natelson of Knoxville and Jane Ann Smith of Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.J. and Lorane Fowler.

Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Matt Ketchum, Tommy Ratliff, Skipper Jeffries, Corey Jeffries and Bubba Hendren.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church.

Iva Leach, 88, of Newbern, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Harold Stricker officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Edgin of Dyersburg; two sons, Roy Wilson Leach of Humboldt and Terry Wayne Leach of Sevierville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Leach; her parents, Luther Wesley Hastings and Susan Theodosia Gardner Hastings; two sisters, Lillian Thomas and Savanah Hastings; three brothers, Otis Hastings, Gardner Hastings and Wilson Hastings; and a grandson, Kevin Edgin.

Pallbearers will be Brian Edgin, Todd Edgin, David Leach, Barry Leach, Chris Leach and Cody Leach.

Connie Sharp, 75, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jones Street Church of Christ with Bro. Jessie Webb officiating. Burial will be in M.C.C.O. Cemetery. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at noon Saturday at the church.

Survivors include four daughters, Pricilla Sharp and Shelia Davis, both of Newbern, Tanya Hunter of Buffalo, N.Y., and Marcella Kendall of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Ollie Sharp of Dyersburg and Connell Sharp of Buffalo, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
