Ricky Booker, 53, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Booker and the Rev. Hershey Schaffner officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery in Friendship.
The family will receive visitors at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Booker of Dyersburg; a stepson, Michael Sawyer; his mother, Gladys Booker of Dyersburg; three sisters, Billie Runions and Shirley Joyner, both of Dyersburg, and Patsy Austin of Dyer; three brothers, Charles Booker and Stanley Booker, both of Newbern, and Danny Booker of Mason Hall; and two step-grandchildren, Michael Sawyer and Candy Michelle Sawyer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lofton Booker; and two brothers, Jodie Booker and Larry Wayne Booker.
Wayne Cartwright, 67, of Ripley, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley.
He was chief engineer for Anderson Tulley.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Cartwright of Ripley; a daughter, Debbie Louise Bryson of Ripley; three sons, Richie Dewayne Cartwright, Chris Lynn Cartwright and Patrick Thomas Mackey, all of Ripley; a stepson, James Edward Gruggett of Memphis; two sisters, Betty Clark and Judy McCarthy, both of Ripley; two brothers, Ed Cartwright of Millington and Ted Cartwright of Humboldt; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Annie Cartwright; and a brother, Everett Cartwright.
Pallbearers will be Clint Tull, Jim Hunt, Patrick Mackey, Ron Brinson, Dexter Tubbs and Wade Perry.
Mary Evelyn Ellis, 93, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor.
She was a farmer and homemaker, and a member of Fort Hudson Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Layman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Jere N. Ellis of Tiptonville; three sisters, Louise Richardson of Irvington, Ky., Dorothy Robertson of Gary, Ind., and Wilma Wallace of New York, N.Y.; three brothers, Bobby Weeks of Havasu City, Ariz., Charles Weeks of Gary, Ind., and Dempsey Weeks of Dyersburg; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.T. Ellis; a daughter, Martha Duncan Morris; a son, Aubry Ellis Jr.; and a grandchild, Jere Martin Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Eugene McLean, Joe Elmore, Jerry Patton, Ralph Stanbrough, Jeff Layman and Jeff Bradley.

Alvie Astor Pride
Alvie Astor Pride, 82, of Jackson, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a mechanic for Foam Fabricators in Jackson and a member of the VFW.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include four daughters, Doris E. Roy, Patricia D. Sanford, Teresa K. Long and Sandy Townsend, all of Jackson; three sons, Michael V. Pride, Patrick Pride and Brian S. Pride, all of Jackson; a sister, Judith Moore of Memphis; two brothers, Ziados "Fat" Pride of Finley and Hubert Gail Pride of Dyersburg; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia Lucille Pride; and his parents, O.C. and Lottie Pride.
