T.J. Jones and Tansil Phillips were special guests at last night's Chimes for Charity auction, sponsored by Curry's Funeral Home and Sez Sew. These social butterflies said they missed last year's auction because they were spending time in their cocoons. The fourth broadcast of the annual fundraiser added $4,836 to the organization's goal of $45,000 and earned sponsorships for 124 of the 900 children served by the program. The auction continues throughout the weekend, broadcast locally on Channel 4, WTRO AM 1450 and 97.3 WTNB from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m., tonight with Firestone as the sponsor; from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 22, with First Citizens National Bank as the sponsor; and from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 23, with Security Bank as the sponsor.
