Katherine Michelle Davis, 35, of Newbern, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a nurse with Dyersburg City Schools and Rapid Care.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. James Bailey and Bro. Houston Sills officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Davis of Newbern; a daughter, Katelyn Davis of Newbern; a son, Jordan Davis of Newbern; her parents, Debbie and Ricky Pevahouse of Dyersburg; and a sister, Hillary Sisson of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Brimm, Chris McCaig, Jimmy Tidwell, Mike Roberson, Darrell Garrett and Steve Henry.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Lenard Harris, 84, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a carpenter, retired supervisor for Heco and retired owner of The Country Store in Millsfield, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.
Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. John Stacy officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Hills Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Virginia "Jenny" Harris; three daughters, Linda Carter and husband, Wayne, Dickie Moody and husband, Larry and Donna Reasons and husband, Dennis, all of Dyersburg; a son-in-law, David Walker of Dyersburg; a brother, Gene "Slick" Harris of Dyersburg; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Walker; his parents, Jean and Donnie Montgomery Harris; a grandson, Chauncey Reasons; two sisters; and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Lyndell Carter, Shannon Walker, Heath Walker, Cody Walker, Jarrett Reasons and Nick Moody. Honorary pallbearer will be Jamie Moody.
James Thomas Parson, 25, of Corinth, Miss., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.
He was a painter.
Graveside services were Friday at Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern with Bro. Ray Sollis officiating. Curry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Melinda Prater of Dyersburg; his father, James Lewis Parson of Dyersburg; two sisters, Lisa Bernal and Kelly Landers, both of Dyersburg; and three brothers, Danny E. Ramey and Robert Ramey, both of Dyersburg, and Michael Hamm of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Virginia Wright, Robert Moody Wright, Janet Gage and James H. Parson.
Pallbearers were Danny Ramey, Jessie Mason, Jashon Allen, Michael Hamil, David Hunt and Dave Proctor.
Polly Brock Sorrell, 83, of Friendship, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was retired from Friendship Elementary School where she worked in food services, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1 at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Foropoulos officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The widow of Doyle Sorrell, her survivors include nieces and nephews Frank Burnett of Dyersburg, Geraldine Thompson and Herbert Brock, both of Jackson, Donna Peircey of Knoxville, and Paula Ramey and Brenda Smith, both of Nashville.
