Lincoln David Curry, 66, of Kenton, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.

He was a retired employee of General Motors Corporation in Mansfield, Ohio and a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

There will be no services. Dilday Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Willa Jean Hayden Curry; two stepsons, Randy Lozier of Kenton and Rodney Lozier of Newbern; two sisters, Tressie Keen of Indianapolis, Ind. and Dorothy Meade of Mansfield, Ohio; a brother, Paul Curry of Logan, W. Va.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Nancy (Lowe) Curry; two brothers and five sisters.

Ora Alice Fowlkes Harber, 84, of Friendship, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Friendship with the Rev. Daniel Tillman officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home and at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Harber Allen of Friendship; a son, Mike Harber of Friendship; a sister, Ann Reiser of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, April Thompson Keenon, Kevin and Greg Allen, Laura and Caroline Harber; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Michael Keenon Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Moody Harber; a sister, Iska Smith; and two brothers, William West Fowlkes and Oliver Fowlkes Jr.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Bethesda Cemetery Fund, 1798 Jerald White Road, Friendship, TN 38034; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Paulette Permenter, 63, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Hanks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Permenter; a daughter, Lisa Pledge and husband, Jackie, of Newbern; a son, Gary Permenter and girlfriend, Kim, of Newbern; and two grandsons, Justin Permenter and Robbie Epperson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alma Atchison Walker; a sister, Frances Burkhead; and a brother, James Loveless.

Pallbearers will be David Raush, Richard Ross, Adam Featherston, Ronnie Featherston, David Ross and David Plunk.
