William "Bill" Thomas Norman, 81, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from Norman's T.V. Sales and Repair, a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a radio-controlled airplane enthusiast, an officer in the Halls Flying Club, a founding member of the fairgrounds flying club in Dyersburg and a fixture of the Dyersburg community for 52 years.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mason Harris and Scott Owen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from today at the funeral home.
Survivors inlcude his wife, Ruth Norman of Dyersburg; two daughters, Cynthia Norman Russell and husband, Victor, of Humboldt, and Lisa Norman Najarian and husband, Derenik, of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, William Bradley Norman and wife, Angela, and Robert Keith Norman and wife, Nicole, all of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother, Lewis Norman of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren, Joshua Russell, Keith Lay, Zovie Ruth Najarian, Bella Norman and Lola Norman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Norman; and a brother, Robert "Bob" J. Norman.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Dyer County Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1002, Dyersburg, TN; or the building fund of Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
