Joy Beatrice Ditto, 75, of Dyersburg, formerly of Newbern, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Roper officiating. Burial will be in Mary's Chapel Cemetery in Ripley.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include five daughters, Elizabeth Thompson of Newbern, Charlene Cruz and Kathy Ditto, both of Dyersburg, Brenda Ditto and Mary Frances Humphres, both of Lynn, Ala.; a son, Jeffery Ditto of Newbern; a brother, Joe Davis of Halls; 26 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Charles Ditto; two sons, Charles Edward Ditto and Ottey Ray Ditto; her parents, Richard "Red" Davis and Mary Cavness Davis; and two brothers, Jackie Davis and Johnny Davis.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Cruz, Edwin Cruz, David Scott II, Jimmy Ditto, Stoy Lee Anderson Jr. and Josh Scott.


Russell King Jr., 76, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at noon Saturday at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Dyersburg with Elder Charles Middlebrook officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Dyersburg. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. King of Dyersburg; three sons, Wayne Jeffery King and Kevin Michael King, both of Dyersburg, and Russell Jason King of Nashville; four sisters, Betty Atkins of Murfreesboro, Bobbie Terry and Jackie Williams, both of Dyersburg, and Ardury King of Memphis; three brothers, James King, Robert "Jack" King of Dyersburg and Wallace King of St. Louis, Mo.; and a grandchild.


Geneva Tate Mauldin, 79, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired sales clerk and a member of Ridgely Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in New Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Halliburton officiating.

The family will receive visitors at 12:30-3 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel of Curry Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Wilburn Mauldin of Ridgely; a daughter, Emily Pritchett and husband, Butch, of Finley; two sons, Jack Mauldin and wife, Brenda, of Ridgely and Robert Mauldin Sr. and wife, Amy, of Finley; two sisters, Judy Childress and husband, Don, of Bogota and Paulette McCullough and husband, Paul, of Newbern; four brothers, Harold Bargery of Las Vegas, Nev., Kip Bargery and wife, Debbie, of Finley, Barry Bargery and wife, Kerrie, of Munford and Buddy Bargery of St. Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Amanda Mauldin Cooper and husband, Chad, of Dyersburg, Justin Daniels and wife, Tiffany, Joshua Daniels and wife, Leighanne, Robert Mauldin Jr., Todd Mauldin and Katie Pritchett, all of Finley, Natalie Pritchett of Boulder, Colo., Tracy Mauldin and Shane Mauldin, both of Ridgely; and eight great-grandchildren, Chad Cooper, Shane Mauldin and James Mauldin, all of Dyersburg, Kayla Mauldin and Gary Allen, both of Ridgely, Austin Ellington, Cameron Daniels and Chloe Daniels, all of Finley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Finis Garrett Tate and Berta Richardson Bargery; three sisters, Cynthia Benthal, Wanda Hammock and Loretta Bargery; and a brother, John Tate.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Shane W. Mauldin, Shane A. Mauldin, Robert Mauldin Jr., Justin Daniels, Josh Daniels, Todd Mauldin and Chad Cooper.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Arthritis Foundation or St. Jude Research Hospital.

Georgia Hall Milfs

Georgia Hall Milfs, 81, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at The Bridge at Ridgely Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Mahan officiating. Burial will be in Elbridge Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Stanfill and Janey Wyrick, both of Ridgely and Julie Jones of Dyersburg; four sons, Freddie Hall of Huntingdon, Daniel Hall and Jimmy Hall, both of Ridgely and Little John Hall of Dyersburg; a sister, Edna Jane Hollis of Bogota; a brother, James Sales of Huntingdon; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jefferson "Buddy" Hall and Jack Milfs; a daughter, Lucy Hall; her parents, Alton and Myrtle Sales; two sisters, Jessie Lynch and Effie Sales; and a brother, William Sales.

Pallbearers will be David Minton, Doug Avery, Joe Crews, Jimmy Mendez, Tim Hoekstra and John Avery.


Mattie Beatrice Murray, 67, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

She was a former employee of Dyersburg Fabrics.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Dyersburg with the Rev. William L. McCadney officiating. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Bolden of Dyersburg; a stepdaughter, Louise Jones of Decatur, Ill.; a foster daughter, Mary Smith of Ripley; a sister, Luella Horton of Dyersburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


Ora Maie Broglin Robertson, 80, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Halls Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Wilson officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery in Halls.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Ewell E. Robertson of Dyersburg; three sons, Howell Robertson and Tavian Robertson, both of Dyersburg, and Ronnie Robertson of Friendship; two sisters, Helen Jones of Gates and Dora Wright of Ripley; a brother, Sammy Broglin of Trimble; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Elmer "Buggy" Wright Jr., L. Ronnie Robertson Jr., Scott Smith, Jimmy Fisher, Braden Smith and Howell "Bubba" Robertson Jr.
