Charlotte Brantley Hart, 83, of Troy, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at Regional Hospital of Jackson.
She was a member of Troy Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 432.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Troy First Untied Methodist Church with the Rev. Judd Mowery and Phillip Pinion officiating. Burial will be in Triangle Cemetery. White & Mahon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie C. Hart of Troy; two daughters, Mitzi Hart of Olive Branch, Miss. and Jody Smith and husband, Lee, of Covington; two sons, Paul Hart and wife, Debbie, of Dyersburg and David Hart and wife, Jenifer, of Troy; a sister, Carolyn Blackley of Hornbeak; a brother, Bobby Brantley of Athens, Ala.; six grandchildren, Mandy McTurner, Josh Hart and Jessica Hart, all of Troy, Wes Crossett, Drew Crossett and Abby Crossett, all of Jackson; and three grandchildren, McCall Hart and Jon Paul McTurner, both of Troy and Lilly Crossett of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harve and Margie Burnett Brantley; and two sisters, Alma Simmons and Jesse Boinoff.
Robert Wayne Hearn Jr., of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Church Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Gardner officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Rebecca Leiva of Dyersburg and Robert Hearn Sr. of Millsboro, Del.; his grandparents, Todd and Irma Newell of Dyersburg; and his great-grandparents, Donna Everett of Newbern and John and Connie Hearn of Millsboro, Del.; and his great-great-grandmother, Inez Everett of Newbern.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Juan Joe Rivers and Marian Moran; and his great-great-grandfather, Hoss Everett.
Mozell Newsom, 88, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at her residence.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Hogue officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, William "Bill" Newsom of Newbern; three daughters, Sondra Chuba and Carolyn Kennedy and husband, Wallace, all of Newbern and Jackie Newsome of Humboldt; two sons, Randy Newsome and wife, Carmie, of Dyersburg and Bill Newsome Jr. and wife, Jane, of Newbern; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Pettie and Barbara Church Pettie; four sisters, Fay Emerson, Virginia Mumford, Beulah Mae Thompson and Dixie Davis; five brothers, Tom P. Pettie, C.B. Pettie, Henry Lee Pettie, J.D. Pettie and Odis Pettie; and two grandchildren, Rhonda Gay Newsome and Todd Lee Newsome.
Pallbearers will be Nick Newsome, Hunter Newsome, Robert Newsome, Lee Kennedy, Tommy Chuba and Brad Chuba.
Ruth Darnall Pakish, 72, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was retired as a riverboat cook for Western Kentucky Navigation and a member of the Eastern Star.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Ridgely, where she was a member, with Bro. David Gray officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Monica Shull and husband, Bob, of Ridgely, and Monette Perkins of Tiptonville; a stepdaughter, Fran Bauer and husband, Bob, of Donora, Penn.; two sons, Ken Hickman and wife, Judy, of Dyersburg, and Pete Miller and wife, Kay, of Alamo; a stepson, Joseph Pakish and wife, Christy, of Monessen, Penn.; three sisters, Margaret Hunter of Big Sandy, Jean Spann of Smyrna and Barbara Hanks of Tiptonville; three brothers, Cecil Gooch of Tiptonville, Jimmy Gooch of Hornbeak and Roger Dale Gooch of Shawtown; and eight grandchildren, Amy Hickman, John Paul Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jeramy Eberst, Laura Shull, Leah Shull Yoes, Michelle Nance and Shauna Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Pakish; a stepson, George Pakish Jr.; her parents, Alvin and Thelma Gooch; and a brother, Frank Gooch.
Pallbearers will be Brant Black, Albert Moore, Hunter Walker, John Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jeramy Eberst, Jake Yoes, Roy Williams and Chuck Archie. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Gooch, Alex Hays, Sam Hays, Jackson Hopper, Danny Gooch, Billy Jim Gooch, Bradley Gooch, Richard Kent Hunter, Bob Hunter, John Cochran and Jeramy Eberst Jr.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Ridgely, First United Methodist Church in Ridgely, First Baptist Church in Dyersburg or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mary Belle Park, 91, of Friendship, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Crockett County Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Melton officiating. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery.
Survivors include a niece, Julia Whitmore; and a nephew, John H. Colvett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton Park; and a brother, J.T. Colvett.
