James Leron "Buddy" Jones, 83, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Salent & Salent, a musician and attended Prospect Church of Jesus Christ.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Julian Huey officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. Dean of Dyersburg; a son, Jimmy L. Jones of Dyersburg; a brother, Clarence Damon Jones of Newbern; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Jones; and his parents, William Loie Jones and Daisy Pink Smith Jones.
Pallbearers will be Ed Anderson, Mike Sawyer, Timmy Turnbo, Justin Huey, Rodger Ray and Trent Horton.
Rihanna Ariel Morris, infant daughter of Krystle Kinney and Charvis Morris, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at Cartersville Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Patrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her grandparents, Loretta Kinney and Lucius Wheeler, both of Cartersville, Ga., Gwen Boykins of Rockmart, Ga., Coney Kinney of Hickman, Ky.; her great-grandparents Betty Griffin of Rockmart, Ga., Lorene Fly of Dyersburg; two aunts, Alicia Kinney and Miko Dansby, both of Carterville, Ga.; an uncle, Vincent Morris of Rockmart, Ga.; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Alvin Reed, 87, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired as a salesman for Security Life Insurance Company, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, a member of the DAV and an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Johnson and the Rev. Mickey Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lucille Reed; three sons, Gerald Reed and wife, Terrie, of Brandon, Miss., Wendell Reed and wife, Christine, of Friendship; and Ricky Reed of Dyersburg; a sister, Ala Jean Badgett of Memphis; two half sisters, Frances Weaver of Dyersburg and Patty Evelyn Humphrey of Gedding, Texas; a brother, Donald Reed of Hillman, Mich.; a half brother, Charlie Crum of Memphis; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Elizabeth Reed; two brothers, Robert Reed and Earl Reed; two half brothers, Larry Crum and Tom Crum; and a sister, Betty Ruth Fussell.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Smith Sr., Sam McGuire Sr., Sam McGuire Jr., Kevin McGuire, Jeff McGehee, Jimmy Johnson and Pete Putman.
