The Rev. Jerry Todd Ashley, 73, of Kenton, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at Gibson General Hospital in Trenton.
He was a retired minister, a member of New Concord Baptist Church and pastored churches in Gibson, Dyer, Obion, Madison and Tipton counties for over 30 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at New Concord Baptist Church in Kenton with the Rev. Joe Naylor and the Rev. Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be in New Concord Cemetery in Kenton. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 9:30 a.m. today at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Margie L. Ashley of Kenton; a daughter, Kathy Greer of Kenton; and a son, Keith Ashley of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Sinnie Ashley.
Pallbearers will be Larry Hopper, Johnny Tims, Erby Mitchell, Don Green, Roger Cooper and Tim Lasseter.
Jerry Wayne North, 49, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was an employee with Huish Detergents and attended First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda North of Dyersburg; three sons, James North and Jacob North, both of Dyersburg, and Johnathan North of Newbern; his parents, Jerry North of Pennsylvania and Jeannie North of Dyersburg; four sisters, Judy North of Yorkville, Sheila Medlin of Friendship, Teresa Paschal of Dyersburg and Amanda North of Levittown, Penn.; a brother, Travis North of Dyersburg; and a grandchild.
