Raymond Cheatham Castleman, 80, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Oakwood Community Living Center.
He was a retired employee of Morris Glove Factory and carpenter, a member of Mount Tirzah Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Archer's Chapel Cemetery in Maury City.
Survivors include his wife, Birdie Palmore Castleman of Newbern; a daughter, Pam Howerton and husband, Curtis, of Dyersburg; a sister, Iola Nerren of Parsons; a brother, Marvin Richard Castleman of Newbern; and two grandchildren, Jonathan P. Yates and Raymond J. Yates, both of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan P. Yates, Raymond J. Yates, Thomas Earl King, Thomas Earl King Jr., Charles Tracy King, Tom Brown and Jared Orman.
Catherine Cole, 76, of Milan, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2008 at NHC Nursing Center in Milan.
Services will be held Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Fruitvale with the Rev. S.E. Brown officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Earlie Cole of Alamo and Gertie Lee Hunt of Louisville, Ky.; and three brothers, Mose Cole, Mendel "Ben" Cole of Alamo and Cedel Cole of Chicago, Ill.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Andrew L. Joshaway, 51, of Hughes, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at the VA Medical Center in Memphis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes, Ark. Burial will be in Sir Fronia Young Cemetery in Brickeys, Ark.
The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home in Anthonyville, Ark. and at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Joell Joshaway of Rockwall, Texas; a sister, Rosie Mae Lowe of Dyersburg; five brothers, Robert Joshaway, David Joshaway, Willie Joshaway and Jerry Joshaway, all of Hughes, Ark. and Edward Joshaway of Helena/West Helena, Ark.; and a grandchild.

Stella Gavin McMullin, 54, of Maury City, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at New First Baptist Church in Maury City with the Rev. Linwood Reed officiating. Burial will be in Poston Grove Cemetery. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Benny McMullin of Maury City; a daughter, Tarissa Gavin of Maury City; a brother, Martha Snipes of Maury City; and two brothers, Lewis Jelks of Maury City and Jimmy Twitty of Ripley.
Charlene Stewart, 70, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
She was a former schoolteacher with the Lake County School System.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John No. 2 M.B. Church in Tiptonville with the Rev. Perry L. Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Citizens Cemetery. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors Friday at the church from noon until service time.
Survivors include her husband, Artise Stewart of Tiptonville; and a stepson, Artise Sharp of Elgin, Ill. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
