Cpl. Keith Eric Essary, 20, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009.

He was a 2006 graduate of Dyer County High School where he was active in JROTC Program and a member of East Dyersburg United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dyer County High School with the Rev. Jim Wolfgang and 1st Lt. Ted Randall officiating. Burial will be in Mayfield Cemetery. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 4-8 p.m. Friday at East Dyersburg United Methodist Church, 805 Merriman Ave., Dyersburg.

Survivors include his grandmother who raised him, Anita Essary of Dyersburg; his mother, Mary Beth Franks and husband, Tony, of Savannah, Tenn.; his father, Charles "Chuck" Hall and wife, Sheri, of Dyersburg; three sisters, Bethany Willard, Brooke Hall and Taylor Clark, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Randy Hall of Dyersburg; his grandmother, Lt. Col. Martha Hall of Dyersburg; his grandfather, Thomas J. Hall of Dyersburg; two uncles, Monty Essary Jr. and wife, Shannon, of Dyersburg and Ricky Hall of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather who raised him, Monty Essary Sr.; his great-grandparents, E.B. and Jo Essary, William "Dude" and Ethel Pierce; Walter and Lola Lawson and Charles W. "Buddy" and Jeannete Hall.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Pope, Terry Wilson, Spc. Charlie Clark, Jeff Larson, Todd Essary, Kyle Patterson, Dustin Riggs, Robert Lipker, Easton Essary and 2nd Lt. Chance Barr.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to JROTC, c/o Dyer County High School, 1000 West Main St., Dyersburg, TN 38024 and East Dyersburg United Methodist Church, 805 Merriman Ave., Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Hiram Myles Jones, 61, of Tiptonville, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at his residence.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, and a Baptist.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with David Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, April Jones and Lisa Marie Jones; a son, Hiram Jones; and three sisters, Rose Marie Clark of Union City, Martha Jane Haggard of Ridgely and Mary Maude Willyerd of Jonesboro, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maudie Jones.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Wiggins, Billy Hopper, Rodney Hopper, David Smith, Jimmy Joe Taylor and Billy Goodman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph White, Jimmy Kilburn and Rodney McCoy.
